THIS IS TRULY AMAZING!
So you've probably heard me asking for help for Fred Johnson, the disabled Vietnam Vet (see previous blog below). Well, Mary Crawford and her husband from Union County were willing to donate a used wood stove they had in storage, but Sunday when they went to get it, turned out it had been vandalized. So Monday I got back on the air to try to find another one. Mike Tuggle called and said her had one and would bring it to me Tuesday night. SO listen to this! Fred called me Tuesday morning and told me 2 gentlemen, one Greg Blank of Blank's Tree Work and a fellow from Ace Hardware in Oliver Springs bought, delivered and set up the stove for him. He had a warm house by lunchtime. WOW! That's AWESOME! I took him clothes and phone cards last night, and got to spend some time with him. Sad stories about his life and time spent in Vietnam (1969-1975), but his life is a little bit better now, thanks to all the fine East Tennesseans who stepped up to plate! God Bless you all!!
