Just wanted to give an update on my fundraiser for Becky Carter, the young lady who was involved in a car accident on Thanksgiving Day. In case you haven't heard the story, Becky, her fiance Jamie Gray and their 2 year old son Keenan, were waiting turn on Western Avenue when they were rear-ended and then t-boned on her side of the car. She broke her pelvis in 4 places and is unable to walk until February. Keenan received 25 stitches in his head. Because child care is not affordable for them right now, Jamie has to stay home and take care of Keenan. Obviously, this means NO INCOME. Her mother is working to support them, as well as the grandmother and Becky's 8 year old sister Julie. So far, generous WIMZ listeners have donated over $1000.00 and a gentleman has offered to give them a car! In addition, the rock band Burden is playing a free show for her ar Rookies Sports Bar this Saturday night with proceeds going to the family.
